Margaritaville

Sunday, the Island King and I took Island Girl to a People to People meeting in Panama City Beach. After the meeting we decided to stop and have dinner somewhere and the Island Girl immediately picked Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.

She ate at the one in Key West last summer and was anxious to have another one of those Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

We ordered the Crab, Shrimp and Mushroom appetizer which was outstanding.

It was so creamy and good that I'm going to have to figure out how to make this at home. I could have eaten the whole thing by myself.

Island Girl and I each had a Cheeseburger in Paradise

And the Island King had boiled shrimp

Our cheeseburgers weren't bad but they weren't great either. Island Girl says the one she had in Key West is the best burger she's ever had and that this one just wasn't as good.

The Island King's shrimp was VERY spicy and at one point the Island Girl said "Mom, look what he's doing - make him stop!" I looked over to see him dipping his shrimp into his water glass to wash some of the spices off.

The people at the table next to us were curious and asked what was going on. The man told us he thought it might be some kind of new recipe where you dipped your shrimp into some kind of liquid for flavor. The Island King told him "No, they just need to be rinsed off before I can eat them" LOL

And since we were in Margaritaville we had to try the Big Rita

which was very tasty and REALLY strong.

We sat out front for a while after dinner, watching the people walk by

And then it was time for the long drive home.

My parents were watching the boys (thanks Mom and Dad!) and it was nice to spend some quality time with just our girl.
