Not A Pastry Chef

Reason number 2,378 that I'm not going to make it as a pastry chef.



I have no idea what happened. One of them came out just fine.


The third one came out ok but was significantly thinner than the other two.


When the second one came out it landed half on one rack and half on another.


And when I tried to move it the whole thing fell apart.

So I put that layer in the middle thinking I could hide the fact that it wasn't much more than crumbs with the icing.

But then the icing wouldn't stick to the cake.


Isn't that the ugliest thing you've ever seen?

The really sad part is that it tasted just as bad as it looked. Dense, heavy and dry.

This is why I don't bring baked goods to functions.
