Watching the Gulf

I've been watching the Gulf of Mexico these past few days with a sense of dread.

It's a lot like watching for an impending hurricane. Only this is worse. Much worse.

As of Saturday our beaches are still clear.

No oil slicks or tar balls and no petroleum smell.

I wish I could say the same for Louisiana.

They are supposed to start putting up booms in our area on Sunday or Monday and hopefully they will help.

We need calm seas and no wind for them to really be effective.

It's windy and rough out there right now.

Lots of prayers are needed for the people and wildlife this is going to impact.

BP - GET THAT THING CAPPED NOW!
