Island Girl Is An Official College Graduate

We were fortunate when the Island Girl started high school to get her enrolled in the Collegiate High School here.

The high school is on the college campus and students are dual enrolled in high school and college.

They pretty much get all of their high school requirements out of the way by the end of the 10th grade and then grades 11 and 12 are basically spent taking college courses.

So she rocked along and took her last final for the college courses last week.

Saturday afternoon she graduated from Northwest Florida State College with an AA degree.

So now she has her AA degree but her high school graduation isn't for two more weeks.

Congratulations Beautiful Girl - We Are SO Proud of You!!!!!

Wow! I wish we had a set up like that around here! So does this mean she can get into college as a junior? That would be an awesome way to speed up the higher education process... and probably way less expensive too.

Congratulations, Island Girl!

Thanks FC!

Sayre,
Yes she's been accepted at UCF as a Junior! Also, we didn't have to pay one dime for the college classes, books, etc - it was all paid for by the County as part of the collegiate/high school program.
I'm surprised y'all don't have one at FSU.
