Since the Island King has been working on the beach this summer we've run across some pretty odd stuff out there.
First, there was the boob.
We thought it was to go inside a bathing suit and create the illusion of "enhancement" but my father says it's for women who've had a mastectomy.
If that's the case, I'm sorry I laughed.
There was a trash can full of old mullet.
Disgusting examples of people who don't even bother to clean up their personal belongings when they leave the beach.
Examples of people who at least haul their stuff to the trash cans but leave perfectly good chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, you name it.
An entire trash can filled with fruit.
We've found all kinds of stuff AND the kitchen sink too
Not only is the trash found out there odd, but the guys out running the beach cleaner and picking up the trash are just as strange.
For example:
Barbie was found at the beginning of the summer and now rides front and center on one of the trash trucks.
Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story showed up and now spend their days riding on the beach cleaner.
It's an odd and interesting world out there so the next time you walk past a trash can on the beach, take a quick peek - you never know what you'll see.
But please remember that if you have a chair to throw away - it's usually better to put it next to the can instead of on top of it.
